Join us for a 3 ~ 4 hour hands-on workshop on our farm and nestled amidst the flower fields, where you will learn the ancient Japanese technique of Hapazome ~ flower and leaf pounding. This traditional craft involves hammering fresh plants onto fabric to create exquisite, nature-inspired patterns, letting the beauty of flowers and leaves naturally imprint their colors and shapes onto a textile.
What is Hapazome?
Hapazome, meaning "leaf dyeing" or "flower pounding" in Japanese, is a centuries-old art form that connects you directly with nature. The technique involves placing leaves, flowers, or other plant materials on fabric and gently hammering them to release their pigments. The result is absolutely stunning and it expresses an organic pattern that reflects the transient beauty of the plants used.
In this workshop, you’ll learn the techniques and traditions behind Hapazome, and explore how to create your own botanical fabric art. Whether you're an experienced artist or a beginner, this calming and creative experience allows you to connect with nature while crafting something unique.
The price is for one person to attend the workshop.🌿✨
